Noa Genazzano

Noa Genazzano is a dancer, choreographer, teacher and founder of Universe in Motion. She trained at The Ailey School in New York City as a Level I Scholarship Recipient for 12 years, before moving to London to continue her professional career and artistic development.

During her time in New York, she danced at the White House Tribute to Judith Jamison and performed alongside Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in iconic works including Revelations and Memoria, at the David H. Koch Theater and New York’s City Center. After moving to Europe, she trained intensively in Ohad Naharin’s Gaga Technique and with members of Hofesh Shechter Company. She has performed new creations by Maxine Doyle (Punchdrunk), Vinicius Salles (Punchdrunk & Jasmin Vardimon) and Humanhood, among others, and has premiered her own original creations, U Are The Universe and Eutierria, in New York and London.

Noa has studied the Horton Technique intensively for over 10 years with renowned teachers including Milton Myers, Adrienne Hurd, Elizabeth Roxas and Ana Marie Forsythe, co-author of the official book on Horton Technique. She brings over a decade of teaching experience, beginning her teaching career at The Ailey School, where she taught Ballet and Horton Technique in the Junior Division. She was a resident teacher at Danceworks London for 6 years and is a guest lecturer at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona (IAB), London Studio Centre, Institute of Contemporary Theatre and University of Winchester, among others.

Her classes combine strong technical training with a focus on physicality, body awareness, strength, mobility, coordination and artistic expression. Her background in Horton and contemporary dance informs a movement practice that encourages dancers to develop a stronger, more connected body while exploring greater freedom, control and versatility in their movement.
