Laura Hernández
CONTEMPORARY and PHYSICAL PREPARATION teacher.
Dancer-performer with a wide and varied background, Laura started dancing in 1997 in various styles: Contemporary, Classical Dance, Modern Jazz, Funky and Hip-hop. She has been trained by great maestros such as Joe Alegado, Ramón Oller, Bebeto Cidra, Mercedes Ribera, Marianna Giustina, Carol Dilley, Anna Agusti, Kada Goudbane, Alain Gruttadauria, Xavier Montreal and Fidel Buika.
In her career as a dancer she is involved in a wide variety of projects: “Joe Alegado” (1994-1997); she is a member of the company “2d1” of Flamenco with Contemporary (1998-2000); dancer in the company “Fusión de 2” of Hip-hop with Contemporary (2000-2001); dancer of the singer Tony Santos, Natalia and Lunae of Operación Triunfo in 2003; member of the company “De cap a peus” in 2004 and in the company “Williams Castro” (2021-2019), among others.
Teacher with 25 years of experience, her technique and positioning classes are characterized by their intensity. She prepares the student with a very physical warm-up, thus awakening the awareness of the parts that are activated with Contemporary Dance. In her sessions, Laura also implements Pilates and hypopressive abdominal work.
Students will learn to control the suspension of their body, to enter-exit the floor in an organic way, coordination, musicality, use of space, alignment, strength and elasticity.
