Acro-partnering is a workshop focused on teaching acrobatic Contemporary Dance tricks, as well as partner dance steps.
With or without a partner, this workshop is made for you if you want to expand your knowledge of Dance!

What is acro + partnering workshop about ?
+ Discover a new way of approaching movement and Partner Dance as a base or flyer.
+ Explore techniques to train both as a support structure and flying body.
+ Reinforcing core stability
+ Working on counterbalance and balance.
+ Gain security and confidence merging these two disciplines (Acro & Partnering) applied to Contemporary Dance.
+ From the technical base approached in class, we will build sequences of fluid and harmonious movements.

Meet the teachers...
Nilüfer Akcanbas and Abel Hernández are dancers of the renowned Crea Dansi Company of Barcelona. Recently, both of them performed in duet, A años luz, Abel Hernandez’s first Contemporary Dance piece.
Nilüfer was born in Istanbul where she began her dance training and graduated from the State Conservatory of the University of Istanbul in Classical Ballet. In 2017 she joined the company MDT Istanbul (Istanbul Modern Dance Company), in which she worked for two years. Throughout her career she participates in pieces of world-renowned choreographers and since 2019 she lives in Barcelona where she continues to work as a dancer-performer and teacher.
Abel was born in Mataró, he began his studies in Contemporary and Classical Dance at an early age in various schools in Barcelona. At the age of 18, he entered the prestigious CODARTS Conservatory in Holland where he began his professional training as a dancer-performer. Throughout his career, he has taken part in several projects with great choreographers in Spain, Germany, Lithuania and Malta. Recently, he has made his debut as a choreographer and teacher in schools in Barcelona.
