Alexey Dmitrenko is a teacher and choreographer, rooted in the tradition of classical ballet. He studied at the Moscow State Academy and the Vienna State Opera Academy on a scholarship from the Nureyev Foundation. Over the course of more than 15 years of dancing professionally for: Oregon Ballet Theatre, Volksopera Vienna, Thuringen State Ballet, Tanzkompanie Innsbruck, Theatre St.Gallen, etc., he worked with a versatile repertoire of choreographers, such as: George Balanchine, J. Robbins, Jiri Kylian, Robert Wilson, Philip Taylor, Nils Christie, Jiri Pokorny, Chang Ho Shin, Minako Seki, Natalia Horecna, Marco Goecke and many others.<\/p>\n
As a teacher and choreographer, Alexey worked for: Festival Dance Alp and Move On Dance Center in Austria St Gallen Theatre Ballet Academy, Switzerland Scottish School of Contemporary Dance at Dundee & Angus College, UK FIA Program at Muuk, Bernal, Argentina Yerakhovetz Ballet Academy Creation and Performance Program and FRe3 Bodies in Barcelona. Alexey also co-directed “Embodied Arts Bali”, an international dance school in Indonesia, and it was then that he became a resident teacher and choreographer at dance institutions in Malaysia, where his students won several international awards.<\/p>\n
